The BAI, as an association and representative of the alternative investment industry in Germany, offers participants a platform for the professional exchange of ideas with the BAI Alternative Investor Conference (AIC).

Alternative investments are playing an increasing role in the portfolios of institutional investors due to their positive characteristics in terms of risk reduction and the opportunity for higher returns. Interest among investors from Germany has also been growing steadily for years, so that many institutional investors are now increasingly investing in alternative investments.

The BAI AIC offers participants of the conference a varied program with highly topical and entertaining lectures and panel discussions over a total of two days. At the AIC 2022, a pre-event on ESG: Data & Research will take place in the afternoon before the AIC. Please note that the number of participants for this event will be limited to approx. 120 - 150 people.

Supporting program

The "new" get-together will no longer take place in Kap Europa on the evening of the first day of the conference (May 3, 2022), but in the Westhafen Pier, located in the immediate vicinity of the Main. By relocating, the organisers are complying with the wishes of numerous sponsors and member companies for a joint event - with institutional investors. The investor dinner will remain in place, but will be brought forward (6-8:30 p.m.). The get-together for guests not attending the investors' dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Westhafen Pier, and the get-together speech will take place at 9 p.m., after the end of the investors' dinner. Food and drinks are offered and a shuttle service is available.

Workshop for institutional investors

Investment managers Representatives of institutional end investors (insurers, foundations, pension schemes, pension funds, single family offices) will report on their own experiences with investments in alternative investments in the investor workshop on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. After the lectures, the participants - who during the workshop are made up exclusively of end investors - have the opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss.
