SANNE LPEA breakfast panel

12 March 2014

Sanne's Head of Debt, Philip Godley, featured on the LPEA breakfast panel in London on 11 March to discuss 'The suitability of Luxembourg as the fund domicile for private debt and infrastructure funds'.

Following the successful introduction of the Limited Partnership structure in Luxembourg in July 2013, the fast development of additional services, and service providers meeting the needs of Alternative Investment Fund Managers under the AIFMD, the LPEA organised the event to review Luxembourg's offereing in terms of framework, structures and service.

During the session experts from Luxembourg and London shared their experience post AIFMD introduction in terms of regulation, typical structures used, set-up and substance solutions, as well as giving examples to demonstrate how the Luxembourg offering is used in practice. Particular focus was placed on private debt and infrastucture, including the classic PE and VC funds. This workshop provided a platform to discuss the changing parameters of fundraising and distribution, organisational set-up and how Luxembourg is contributing to the changing PE world.
