SANNE Mauritius CSR Easter activities
Mark Law, Managing Director, Alternative Assets - Asia-Pacific & Mauritius
Last week, SANNE staff in our Mauritius business took time to give back to their community by surprising the children of the Flamboyant Education Centre with an afternoon of fun activities concluding with an Easter egg hunt at Domaine de l’Etoile.
About the community engagement initiative, Peggy Soobiah, Director - Change Managementat SANNE – Mauritius said “When you take time to do initiatives like this, you realise the impact you can have on children that are disadvantaged and less fortunate than most in Mauritius. We actively give back to our community with initiatives like this and do it with a sense of humility and compassion. We aim to give these children something they will remember. As a business with we are constantly striving to be good corporate citizens and giving back to our local Mauritian community in this way is a very rewarding, especially when you see the smile and enjoyment you are giving back.”
Mark Law, Managing Director – Alternative Assets – Asia-Pacific & Mauritius reinforced the positive impact of this initiative, saying “Helping to improve the lives of children is one of the three core themes of our global Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy at SANNE. This initiative is a fantastic way in which our staff can give back, help out and bring a smile to these children.” Mark added "In 2017, we also opened our own school, SAN'Angels - Centre d'Eveil. This school helps to provide an education to 25 children from underprivileged communities in Mauritius. It's another great example of how we aim to make the difference for local children."
