SANNE joins eco-active programme
SANNE has bolstered its green credentials by joining Jersey’s eco active business network.
Eco active is an environmental management scheme for businesses or organisations that operate in Jersey. Joining the network demonstrates a commitment to lowering the environmental impact of a business and provides steps for improving efficiency, reducing waste and other negative environmental impacts.
Matthew Morel, Group Head of Marketing at SANNE, commented, ‘We are delighted that SANNE has been accepted to join Jersey’s eco active network. We are committed to lowering the environmental impact of the business and helping to reduce our carbon footprint.’
To become a member of eco active, businesses are required to set two targets per year, including one energy (or carbon emissions) action and one from another environmental area.
Matthew added ‘We have committed to recycling our drinking water bottles across all offices and in some offices we have installed special filtration units that are connected to the mains water supply, which reduces our carbon footprint further. In addition, we will be replacing all halogen spotlights and emergency exit signs throughout the business with energy efficient LED lighting. PIR sensors are also being installed in meeting rooms and store cupboards to improve efficiency.'
