Leaders at IFS Mauritius, a recently acquired SANNE company, will be attending the Wealth Africa Forum on 9 and 10 March 2017 at the Maritim Hotel, in Balaclava, Mauritius.

It has been reported that Africa is seeing a steady increase in high-net worth individuals, who as a collective have a combined wealth of over US$860 billion. Industry experts predict a 7% p.a. increase in these numbers as a result of continuous economic development and urbanisation.

The wealth of these families is often intrinsically linked to their underlying family businesses. The Wealth Africa 2017 Forum brings together a wide range of professional advisers including bankers, wealth managers, family offices, lawyers and tax advisors, among others, to discuss opportunities and challenges specific to wealth management in Africa. Delegates will explore how international financial centers like Mauritius are well suited and experienced in providing services to high-net worth individuals, their families and advisors.

Rubina Toorawa Chief Operating Officer at IFS, a SANNE company, said, “We anticipate that the wealth management industry in Africa will continue to see growth and be a key focus over the next decade. It is a reflection of the ongoing interest in the continent as a destination for investors and businesses alike, and the pace of wealth generation will increase exponentially as this trend continues.

Africa is one of the regions of the world with huge potential to grow wealth. We believe this will be largely driven by a rising middle class and the increased success of many businesses. At IFS, we understand what it takes to grow and mange true wealth and the need for clients to implement a dedicated succession plan for now and future generations. We are at the forefront of industry reforms, and our experts have experience and expertise to provide tailored solutions to clients in this industry.”
